Description
In the tradition of AMALGAM COMICS, which combined DC comics with Marvel comics, I present The Hellthing, an amalgamation of The Thing from the Fantastic Four (Marvel) and Hellboy (Dark Horse comics). This was made by photoshopping two action figures, a Marvel Legend Thing figure from Toybiz and a Hellboy Movie figure from Mezco Toys.
The life of Ben J. Rama, monster hunter, adventurer, and cryptozoologist was forever changed on the night of Dec. 23, 1944. Enlisted by the American government as part of a team sent to study and stop Nazi experiments with magic and the paranormal, Ben J. Rama was sent to Tarmagant Island, off the Scottish coast, to stop Dr. Viktor Von Rasputin and his Nazi allies from attempting to release Ogdru-Galactas, the seven who are one, from its celestial prison, thereby destroying the world.
The whole team (a mash up of the Fantastic Four and the B.P.R.D) includes:
- Abraham Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic (Reed Richards + Abe Sapien)
- Ben J. Rama, aka The Hellthing (The Thing + Hellboy)
- Sue Kraus, aka Ecto Girl (Sue Storm + Johann Kraus)
- Liz Storm, aka The Female Torch (Johnny Storm + Liz Sherman)
Ben J. Rama enlisted with his best friend, a genius paranormal scientist named Abraham Richards to defeat the evil Dr. Viktor Von Rasputin. Also part of their squad was Liz Storm, a minor pyrokenetisist, and Sue Kraus, a medium and psychic telepath. Although they were able to defeat Von Rasputin, their victory came at a price. They were bombarded by a mixture of magic, atomic energy, and cosmic rays that irrevocably altered their bodies, gave them paranormal powers, or increased their existing abilities. Ben was transformed into a half-man half-demon, with a rocky skin, horns, a tail, and a giant stone hand carved with mysterious runes. He was granted super strength and an instinctual knowledge of all things magical and demonic. He files down his horns to try and keep some semblance of humanity, but he canβt help shake the looming feeling that his giant right hand may be the key to destroying the earth which they sacrificed so much of their lives to save. He fights along with Richards, Storm, and Klaus as part of the B.P.R.D

Pretty damn cool, but you should have made the Right Hand of Doom made of flesh and blood so that it's different from the rest of his rock body.

Really nice concept, love the amalgamation. Im not too keen on the font though maybe it would look slicker with the hellboy movie font from here

Wow, I just love this. I hope someone make a real action figure based on this idea.

Damn. I like the combination. The photoshopping is just about seamless. Only part I can see is the place where the shorts meet the legs.

Yeah, and the tail is a half-assed bevel too.

I never thought about it either, but it makes so much sense. Both are big powerhouse characters with gruff, workingclass personalities who get involved in strange situations that they have to fight their way out of.

Yeah, its done in photoshop. I don't have the tools to customize such a figure, plus I could never bring myself to break my toys apart to do it.
