Excuse my ignorance but... who is Victor?

Victor is a Victorian era writer and explorer that I made up for a children's book idea that I did several conceptual illustrations for (these being some of them) but never did anything else with. The idea was that Victor was a lore, legend and myth enthusiast who used his family's fortune to travel the world in search of the legends he loved. When he'd find them, he'd learn from them and many times find that they had legends of their own, and the idea of the legends that legends tell was the driving force behind the book's concept. I never got around to fully structuring and writing anything though. Maybe one of these days, or if I find a writer I like who is interested in pairing up.

Hmm, these guys dont appeal to me like the last ones -but that doenst mean they're not still good!
First guy - I was about to say 'standard wizard dude' but I realised that he wasnt really. He seems to have more wit and fashion sense about him than most of them do. Love the non-traditional hat
Second dude - correction -thing: Nice colours, doesnt look to sane really. Though suprisingly enough I dont have too much to say about him.
Third dude - interesting looking character. He looks generally like a good guy although he doenst seem like your average hero. Is he even a main character? For some reason though I get the impression that he looks out for his ideals/family/whatever first and the rest of the world second -uh not sure where that came from but I'm digging his tights
Fourth dude - the Grim Reapers a poor looking farmer? Damn. Interesting in that its really not something thats ever explored although it really should (since his weapon of choice is a farming tool)
Fifth guy- Huhn, a wolf with a gun. Irony much? He looks like a decent, hardworking character though -must be the face.. Love the shading on his fur

The First Guy is Merlin with Archemedes, but it's Merlin in the 19th century. I figured he'd seek out contemporary clothing that had a similar flair and utility as his Medievil cloaks and robes. Merln lives backwards in time, so I figured he'd be somewhat younger in the 1800's than he is when he's teaching Arthur.
The Second Dude is the Phoenix. He's not entirely sane I suppose, but I guess that would depend on your definition of sanity as it applies to a centuries old, reincarnating, giant bird.
The Third Dude is Robin Goodfellow. He was born to a human mother, but fathered by King Oberon of Faerie. A bit of a depressed fellow. Not one, not entirely the other.
The Fourth Dude is Death. He has a job that must be done and he's very reliable. He's well known, but not necessarily well liked or understood. Yes he is a farmer of sorts, and like a good farmer he has a respect and connection to what he reaps, but also an understanding of the importance of his work.
The Fifth Guy used to be a hunter. He still is, only now he is also a werewolf. He's as decent and hardworking as any hunter I suppose, if a bit more reclusive.

I never could quite get my head around the whole 'living backwards' thing -how on earth does he figure out what he needs to say and things like that.. It all gets far too confusing for my puny brain.
These guys are going into your book aswell? That sounds like a large book -have you gotten it under way or still mulling over the ideas? Would love to see more of it
