When we first presented this report and the associated report on the Vaygr Resource Collector to the Somtaaw Kiith-Sa, her reaction, to put it very mildly, was one of displeasure (We believe that Kharak may have been able to hear her). The Vaygr Mobile Refinery are virtually identical in function and equipment to our own Missionary Class Mobile Refineries. In fact, thanks to the efforts of Taiidan Intelligence Agents within the Vaygr and from captured resource collectors and mobile refineries, we've been able to confirm that, to put it bluntly, the Vaygr stole our (or rather Kiith Somtaaw's) technology. We've traced the theft to a small Somtaaw resourcing operation that vanished off sensors roughly a decade prior. According to Intelligence, the Vaygr captured the ships and proceeded to reverse engineer the technology installed on the Resource Collectors and Mobile Refineries. Subsequently the Vaygr variant is functionally identical to ours and is even armed with four hull defense guns to ward off enemy strike craft.

The most notable functional difference between ours and the Vaygr's mobile refineries, is rather interesting. Scouts and probes monitoring Vaygr resourcing operations have picked up a series of broadcasts coming from the Tithes. These are short range transmissions and they seem to be directed at their own resource collectors. As the Vaygr use resource collection duty as a form of punishment, it's possible that their Mobile Refineries also double as wardens or overseers. A scout squadron monitoring the operation recorded one of these broadcasts. It seems to be an unending sermon of sorts, extolling the virtues of Makaan as the "Sajuuk-Khar" (blasphemy) and the divinity of the Vaygr Crusades. In the absence of a Mobile Refinery, the carrier, shipyard, or flagship that the resource collector is operating with is the one that broadcasts this sermon. We suspect this is a form of brainwashing to keep the Vaygr loyal and subservient.

Kiith Somtaaw has requested the capture of a few Tithe Class Mobile Refineries for analysis. Kiith Soban has already sworn that, once Somtaaw has sufficient number of captured refineries, they'll destroy any others they find with a vengeance for stealing their fellow Kiithid's technology. We've yet to hear of any objections or hesitation from any other representatives of the other Kiith.
