Description
A small step-by-step tutorial in which I create a tutorial pony and you are invited to join me. Doesn't go into too much detail but covers all of the basics as well as some of the more complex stuff.This is not a spriting tutorial. It's just a guide how to code your own desktop pony using the program's built-in pony editor and is meant to be used with Desktop Ponies v1.50 and up.
Here are some downloads to go with it:
Tutorial Sprite Pack - contains all the sprites needed to recreate the tutorial pony.
"Tutorial Partner" pony - contains a simple desktop pony that can be used for the "interactions" tutorial.

I'm by no means an expert in creating these kind of guides, so if you find mistakes or have helpful suggestions for improvements, please tell me so. I'll try to keep this up-to-date for the time being.

Oh, wow. Apparently all the downloads I have are broken now. I wonder if Deviantart is just having server issues (meaning the downloads might work again sometime later) or if this is permanent.
I also seem to have lost the files to the partner pony (maybe I'll recreate them if the download problem persists) but at least I managed to find the tutorial sprites:

That's what I'm fearing. If it's true, chances of the stash downloads being fixed are very slim.

Alright, so I did everything this guide said I should do. But still whenever I add the trot animation I get a error and have to close it all down. Know any solution to this? It says ''Could not load one or two animations correctly. Index lies out the matrix'' or something like that.

Hmm, I don't know what could be the problem there. You should probably try and write about this problem in our ponychan thread since that's where the programmer can be found.
Alternatively, I guess you could send me the files you have so I can take a look at it. Maybe I can find out what's wrong then.

In the main window of the program, just click in the box next to "Selected Profile", enter a new name and hit save.

I can only guess that you don't want the ponies to be hidden by other windows?
If so, just go to the options and select "Ponies are always on top of other windows". Don't forget to save. That should work, but sometimes you have to restart the program.

If you want to download the tutorial, just click on the big "Download" button on the right. If you are looking for the Desktop Ponies program itself, you can find a link to it in the first post here . If you mean something else, you have to be more specific.
