Hey, that's my first official drawing for 2008... holy crap, I need to draw more often.Well, I finished EarthBound for the first time last week, so I thought I'd pay a great game a little homage! I bring you Ness, Paula, Jeff and Poo, the four protagonists in a super dynamic pose!
I liked the game... it isn't the best RPG I ever tried (I didn't like the battle system), but I enjoyed the parody. I guess you really have to play lots of RPGs to enjoy most of the jokes, haha. "You engage the New Age Retro Hippie Guy!" And all the stupid useless items... and the playable ending was a nice touch.
This oddly looks like I didn't make it... it feels like a weird mix between American cartoons and chibis. I'm not quite sure why. It was rather quick so there's a few mistakes here and there (lighting incoherences mainly), but I'm glad I got it out of my system, and it doesn't look half bad.
No, I don't know how to draw bazookas. And there wasn't any picture of it in the dictionary!

I've never gotten out of Onett. My love for Ness and co. is strictly based on Smash Bros.
That said, the muted colors are actually a lot more eye-catching than the much louder colors in the game.

This is one of my favorite games ever, but I had the benefit of playing it as a kid so I don't think I even knew what a "battle system" was at the time lol. So it's wormed it's way into my nostalgia without the criticality of an adult lol~

Well considering how old it is a lot of the games shared those traits back then lol. One of the things I've always loved about it is the automatic win system when you encounter an enemy way below your lvl. Saved so much time!
