This is the first illustration created for a collection of Jane Eyre pieces that I'm making for my podcast's Patreon. I wanted to share it with you all as well, so I'm starting it off here as a subscription piece, later to be moved to my public gallery.

This scene is one of two, exploring the power dynamic between Jane and Rochester. Here, Rochester's truth has yet to be revealed. By lying to her and keeping his love in the dark, he is the one in control. The second piece will flip the composition, with Jane above Rochester as he kneels before her, clutching her dress and begging her not to leave him.
