Description
I saw the movie The Little Princess again this weekend, both the original with Shirley Temple and the remake with Liesel Matthews, and drew these quick sketches while I watched. It was the first one that sparked my interest in the Indian Lascar, Ram Dass, for he was played by the oh-so-handsome Cesar Romero, and I couldn't help but make up a potential romance between him and beautiful Miss Rose, the school teacher. In my idea, the two of them both care for Sarah after the loss of her father, and through these hard and uncertain times, they care for one another as well. Besides the boundaries of race and social speculation, they are also kept apart by the simplicity of distance between one demanding household and another. And yet, every evening when their work is done, they meet each other at the window, gazing across the divide, and sharing the pleasantries of each others kindness and affection
I love them to bits!!!! And I just had to share, since the movies and novel aren't the most popular, and these characters I think should be appreciated. The films are both very charming, so if you're looking for a feel-good film that'll make you feel like a princess, then I recommend watching both of The Little Princess movies
Enjoy!

You're very welcome! And yes - only through the movies, but I love the idea of pairing these characters up together since they were so supportive to Sara. I also imagine that her reunion with her father would leave a void for them both, and they could easily bond over that. So yeah

You're welcome. And I am about halfway through Princess of Prongs. I figured I would comment after I was finished reading, if that is alright.
