Description
I promised more photos from my trip to Venice last summer. I finally got to look a bit more into some of them - and chose to start out with a little collection of photos from the awesome island of Burano! This island used to be a small fisherman's society, where they for some reason painted all their houses in all these amazing colors - it's a paradise for a photographer! I could walk around there in several days, just snapping away at least ten times per minute. Unfortunately, I was there with other people (non-photographers I may say!), and I guess it would have been a little evil to them to keep them there for the rest of the holidays!
I really like this photo because of the difference between the dark and the light side on either side of the street, and because of all those flowers. The pavement on the street was really beautiful

Burano , obviously
a paradise for painters eyes (but not for those exclusively .. )
Your shot gives a strong impression.
Benbe, he might like painting that (to my mind he's a real master with pastels) e.g.

Regrettably I never have been there...

Wonderful photo! A few things I just want to mention:
β’ The lighting is pretty good. Of course there are a few shadows that aren't very good, but it is extremely hard to capture places like this in bright daylight without having shadows. Still, I think you handled the lighting well. It is very easy to tell that this was a gorgeous day. =]
β’ I think the composition is great here. The angle is alright but I would really like to see some other angles in this series. Perhaps one looking up so the building loom over you. You could even rotate the photo in post-processing and frame it nicely. I'm just not too sure about the buildings being cut off on top. I feel that seeing the top of the buildings would be better than seeing the cement.
β’ And lastly, I love the depth in the image! The way you photographed it so that our eyes are automatically drawn to the last two buildings through the opening. Then you see even more detail - trees, water, a beach, ect.
I hope I wasn't too harsh, this is definitely an awesome series!

This one's the highlight of the series. The brightness is really appealing in colorful shots, and i think thsi one's the best
Coincidentially, I recently got pictures of colorful houses too
