BACKGROUND

The daughter of Queen Amalthea, Princess Ariadne was sent from the mysterious island of Iathus, home to a race of amazon women, to be their ambassador to the UN. While interested in fostering a relationship with Iathus, in order to gain knowledge of their medicial and technological advances, Ariadne's bold personality and constant questioning quickly made the majority of the membership uncomfortable. Unsure of what to do to with her, the UN stationed her at the small field office in Steel City. It was here where she met Emilia, the two quickly becoming good friends despite Emilia's shyness around the tall and beautiful Ariadne.

The princess adopted a civilian identity of Ariana Andrews, in order to blend in with the city's residents and keep a low profile. She also became acquainted with Tiffany Anderson and Melinda Crane through the various fund raisers for the Crane Foundation and other charitable endeavors. As their friendship grew, Tiffany discovered Ariana's divine origin and royal pedigree through Asgard and, after seeing Tiffany and Melinda's heroic alter-egos Crimson Valkyrie and Mindy Marvel in action, Ariana decided to use her powerful strength and abilities to help them combat villains. Donning a beautiful costume and armor from her island, she quickly became a favorite for the local press who dubbed her the amazing Amazon. While Princess Ariadne would continue her role as Ambassador with the UN, and her growing heroic career as Amazon, her other identity of Ariana would become a liaison for the SCPD's meta human response team, in order to assist Emilia.

Eventually, the relationship between the quiet, shy tech genius Emilia and the Princess grew and the two fell head over heels in love. Confessing their secret identities of Stinger and Amazon, respectively, strengthened their bond and the two continue their fight for justice together.

RANDOM FACTS

While Princess Ariadne dresses very regally, in gowns made of the finest silks and other materials, she prefers Ariana's more casual style of t-shirts, jeans, boots, and her well worn black leather jacket.

Ariadne owns a small, modestly furnished townhouse in the city in order to hide her royal status and wealth.

She fell in love with hockey after attending her first hockey game with Emilia, Tiffany, and Melinda.

Despite her athletic figure, Ariadne has a big sweet tooth and loves Black Forest cake thanks to Emilia.

The other title I had for this piece was Noble Beauty...and now the debut of the the heroine named...Amazon! All that time trying to figure out a superheroine name and that's where I ended up.

Hailing from Iathus, Princess Ariadne has come to Steel City as a representative of her island and to protect the world from evil (and maybe find love along the way ).
