Born in Platinum Hills, Michigan, Kendra Warner was involved in many sports and activities growing up. But her first love was dance. Her parents fully supported her dreams as the traveled around the country for her competitions and recitals. As she grew older and entered her teenage years, one of her dance teachers mentioned that Kendra would be perfect for modeling with her tall frame and graceful movements. The teacher encouraged Kendra's parents to follow this path, especially since it would more lucrative financially for their family.

The first few jobs seemed innocent enough. But as time grew, Kendra's parents became increasingly uncomfortable in what she was asked to do. Kendra, frightened by the people who ran the shoots, confided in her older cousin Vanessa Miller who was a few years older. Vanessa's investigations uncovered that the modeling agency Kendra was working for was a front for a local crime family who dealt with human trafficking. Kendra and her parents fled to Tampa, Florida to escape while the modeling agency was subsequently investigated and shut down by the Platinum Hills Police Department. The investigation, thanks to internal corruption, didn't tie the agency to the family but it was determined that it was best to not pursue Kendra at the moment while the spotlight was focused on their activities.

Kendra's modeling career continued, albeit on a smaller scale, as she transitioned from fashion to fitness in her twenties. But she was still on the radar of the syndicate her family thought she escaped. After a shoot that ended later than usual, Kendra was abducted by a group of locals contracted by the crime family. Tied up in the back of a van and heading to a perspective buyer in Central America, Kendra was visited by the goddess Abbridon who told Kendra she was chosen to be a force of good as part of a group created by the goddess herself. Abbridon's magic transformed Kendra into a superpowered phenom who easily broke through her bonds and defeated her captors. Reconnecting with her cousin Vanessa, who now had adopted her own heroic guise of Nightingale. The two, along with the rest of the Silk and Steel group Vanessa was a part of, brought down the human trafficking ring freeing many young girls who had been taken from their families.

Now free from her pursuers, Kendra was fully able to resume her modeling career becoming one of the most well-known supermodels in the fashion and fitness industries. And when she's not strutting on the catwalk, she flies high with her other bird allies as part of the Avian Angels!

A very, very rough idea for Kendra/Dynamic Dove's backstory.

When I was putting together the Avian Angels Primer, I wanted to include Platinum Hills as part of it. Partially because it's a crime filled cesspool that makes Gotham City look like a great vacation destination But mostly because I wanted some tie to the world AzureVirgo created with his amazing vigilante and street level ladies. With the Sensational Seven Avian Angels, we're dealing with big powerful superheroines. So, tying one of them to the grittier side of heroism is really appealing to me. Plus, Vanessa Miller/Nightingale is an amazing butt kicking songbird and I like keeping the avian thread.

Nothing official, just something to wet everyone's beaks...I'll see myself out with that bad bird pun.
