Ive been dying to do a sci-fi monster piece for a long time now and this one has elements that ive been trying to incorporate into a composition for a long time.
I glanced at a few photos of various abandoned factories, camcorders and CDC biohazard suits for accuracy's sake, in addition to several close-up stills of a couple 80's horror movies used to get the expression I wanted for the foreground victim.

this picture looks like it could have been taken from a witness at the moment of the breach. the choice of colors (reds and aquamarines) give it a "doom" / "resident evil" quality.

I really should have done it widescreen - your totally right. Its funny you say that because im shooting to do all of my works in movie screen format canvas.
