◆◆Personality:
On the outside, Candy is a rough, mean, hot tempered and defensive pokemon who deep down has a longing for respect and admiration. Despite how aggressive and loud she might be on the outside, the big zebra is extremely modest and can’t handle complements in the slightest. Complaints are also a trigger for her temper, she’ll up flustered and embarrassed and that turns into anger which normally ends with her turning into a yelling mess or punching a wall. Along with that, a huge trigger for her temper is teasing and being made fun of/being looked down on, she can’t stand it and will end up blowing her top the instant someone mocks her. Though, behind her hard and angry exterior, she does have a huge soft spot-- tho she would never admit it.

◆◆History:

Born and raised in Snowpoint, the Zebra was pampered her whole home life, and she hated it. Her name ran down her mothers side of the family, and that name ended up being her curse.

Candy’s parents were two very talented people, her father, a Primeape, who owned a hair salon and her mother, a Zebstrika, ran a cafe that sat right below their home. Her parents were crazy for each other, and how they acted 24/7 was embarrassing all on its own-- but it got so much worse when it came to Candy. Being an only child, her parents loooooved to spoil her and basically give her everything she could ever want-- but the problem with that was she never wanted anything she was given.

Ever since she was seven years old Candy hated the constant pampering and how overprotective her parents were, all she really wanted was freedom. Even on her first day of school she never cried, but instead tried to push her parents out the door so she could play with the other kids and make friends other than just having her her parents. And that she did, kindergarten to grade 2 were probably her best years of school, but once she hit grade 3 was when her temper started to shine through.

Candy started to get bullied by her old friends from the past 3 years. They were all boys, and even if Candy looked/dressed like a boy, they always refused to let her play with them because of her name being too “girly”, and for a third grader, that hurt. This teasing continued for awhile before Candy ended up punching one of the boys in the nose, and that was the start of it all. All the way up to grade six, Candy had at least been to detention 70 times for getting into fights with other kids, yelling and screaming at teachers or just straight up doing the opposite of what she was told, and when she reached middle school is when it got really bad.

Half way threw middle school Candy had to be transferred to a different school in the city due to getting expelled for starting a really bad fight with another student. In her new school she managed to make some friends, though they didn’t last too long-- half way threw her last year of Jr. High her parents pulled her out of school in fear of what might happen when she reached Highschool. Everyone she had previously gotten into a fight with would all be in the same school with her, and the two loving parents didn’t want to take that risk.

Being taken out of school was probably what pushed her over the edge. She could never yell at her parents, but at the same time she couldn’t handle being around them this much. They embarrassed her to no end, treated her like a baby and the worst part-- they felt sorry for her. The girl couldn’t take it, and one day, shortly after her 17th birthday she had enough.

In a fit of rage, she stormed out of the house before she had the chance to snap at her parents. She loved them, loved them way too much to ever yell at them and not feel horrible about it afterwards. She wandered around in the cold and managed to overhear two of her old teachers talking about some big fancy school called “St. Mortiel” down in Hearthome city. At this point, something like that sounded brilliant to her, being able to start over 100% at a new school in a different city would be perfect. With that she pretty much forgot why she was mad and ended up going back home and straight up to her room to google this fancy school.

Though the school didn’t really sound like a place she would fit in at first, she still brought up the idea with her parents. The two weren't quite happy with the idea at first, but ended up agreeing after she said she’d come back home and finish her home schooling if the same thing happened again with this new school, assuming she’d get in of corse. So with that the family put together an application and sent it in, crossing their fingers she’d get accepted.
