Pokemon Trainer Lath
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Height: 5' 8"

Background: Born in Slateport City but moved to Sandgem Town in Sinnoh when he was 16. Still considers himself a Hoenn boy at heart (and thus has an innate fondness for the region's Pokemon). He's always dreamed about becoming a Trainer and loved watching competitive battles on TV (Ash complex, lol). Once his parents gave the okay to take a Pokemon Trainer's leave from school, he rushed over to Prof. Rowan's lab and picked a Turtwig (Hikaru) as his starter. The two have been traveling ever since and have somehow wound up in the Kanto region. Along his journeys, he's met another Trainer by the name of Eden [link] and have become good friends. He even has a small crush on her. He hasn't seen her in a long time, however.

Personality: Lath is normally a happy-go-lucky kind of guy. He loves Pokemon and knows a fair bit about them, too (mostly from trial and error / experiences he's had on his journey). He's not the greatest battler, but tries with everything he's got. He and his Pokemon train a lot and he studies hard to make sure that he doesn't let them down in the heat of battle. This doesn't mean that Lath is actually intelligent, though. Lath is almost dumber than a sack of hammers and doesn't pay heed to common sense even in the most glaringly obvious situations. At times he can also be obnoxiously cocky. But whatever the case, he tries to have a good time no matter where he's at or what he's doing. On an unrelated note, his favorite bands are Death Cab for Cubone, Panic! at the Ditto, Coheed and Camerupt, and DragoniteForce.

Appearance: Scruffy, straggly, and lanky. Bad posture, stupid, lop-sided grin on his face, messy brown hair, big nose, bright green eyes. Usually has a little facial stubble because he's normally out in the wilderness training and does not take very much interest in his personal appearance other than being as cleanly as one can be in said wilderness. And his clothing can totally be changed to whatever you feel like drawing, he doesn't just have to stick with what my fashion-challenged mind gave him in the ref.

-Hikaru
Species: Grotle.
Gender: Male
Nature: Calm
Attacks: Razor Leaf, Bite, Mega Drain, Synthesis
Ability: Overgrow - Powers up Grass-type moves in a pinch.
Notes: Hikaru is Lath's first Pokemon and most trusted pal. Where Lath lacks common sense, Hikaru makes up for it with a patient and guiding demeanor. It's a miracle Hikaru puts up with him, to be honest.

-Acer:
Species: Pidgeot.
Gender: Male
Nature: Naive
Attacks: Fly, Steel Wing, Thief, Roost.
Ability: Keen Eye - Prevents the Pokemon from losing accuracy.
Notes: Lath's second pokemon and the first pokemon he captured on his own (albeit by very unorthodox means). Okay, so he almost tired to make Acer into Kanto Fried Pidgey at first, but eventually he decided he'd rather have him on his team instead of the menu. On a side note, Acer is also a bit of a kleptomaniac. Other then that, he's a really nice bird, I promise!

-Moose
Species: Tauros
Gender: Male
Nature: Rash
Attacks: Headbutt, Rage, Outrage, Rest.
Ability: Anger Point - Raises Attack upon taking a critical hit.
Notes: Has long bangs and a nose ring. He's stubborn, hard to control, and probably Lath's most powerful Pokemon. Even though Moose has a bad temper, he means well and is very protective of his trainer and fellow teammates. But when his temper does flare up he has been known to level city blocks. And usually after his tantrums are over and has calmed down he falls right asleep using Rest. He also likes power metal.

-Bisque:
Species: Corphish
Gender: Female
Nature: Bashful
Attacks: ViceGrip, Leer, Night Slash, Protect
Ability: Hyper Cutter - Prevents the Attack stat from being lowered.
Notes: Wears a pink bow on head to remind others that she's female. She's very ... simple. She often stares off in space when battling (or maybe is just trying to use Leer, I have no idea) Likes compliments. Doesn't like being mistaken for a boy. Not used very much in battle otherwise she'd be a Crawdaunt by now.

-Beikin:
Species: Grumpig
Gender: Male
Nature: Sassy~
Attacks: Psychic, Shadow Ball, Attract, Payback.
Ability: Own Tempo - Prevents the Pokemon from becoming confused.
Quite the prankster and very sly. Usually always has a smug look on his face for one reason of another. He's charming and quite popular with the ladies.

-Trish:
Species: Manectric
Gender: Female
Nature: Serious
Attacks: Thunderbolt, Fire Fang, Magnet Rise, Roar
Ability: Static - Contact with the Pokemon may cause paralysis.
Notes: Newest member of the party and doesn't fully trust Lath (or take him seriously for that matter ... ) Bitchy but extremely determined and hardworking.
