It's a 135mm Carl Zeiss Jena. During the Cold War, the Zeiss factory in Jena became part of East Germany. Zeiss set up another factory in West Germany, and the two existed as seperate companies til reunification. This is probably from the 70's.

It's a nice piece, probably one of the best lenses ever made. The auto-feces lenses of today weigh less, they have to weigh less, and thus are not as good. Did I say auto-focus, I meant to say feces.

He really is a splendid Douglas. Artemis was Zeuss's daughter (hence the pun) but mine is quite clearly male. Β (I don't have any set policy about this. I call 'me as I see 'em. Β Nearly half my foxes are girls)
