Another of the storyboard drawings I have. This one's a bit curious. Though she's right on-model here, I'm not sure that it relates exactly to a scene from the movie, since it says 'Steele and Jenna'. I don't remember Jenna ever behaving this - apparently - genuinely coy and affectionate toward Steele.Β OTOH I make a practice of rarely watching my favourite movies, so when I do watch them they may still surprise me again.I was going to get to this eventually, but wasn't getting any hits tonight with my own work, so thought I'd put up something with 'Balto' in it.Β

Lovely, lovely storyboard sketch!
It's from this scene here, near the end of the clip. Steele comes in where Jenna is with Balto and tries to invite Jenna to come with him instead. Balto tries to drive Steele away with aggression but Jenna subtly quiets Balto because she has her own plan and it's to seduce Steele in order to maneuver his rear end against the hot furnace in the room.

You may be right, but I'm not sure; I watched that clip, and I don't see that pose - but it's the most likely sequence.

I dunno, to me Jenna looks like she's trying to nicely tell Steele she's not interested in.... I think after he won a race asked her to 'share some bones'? Whatever that means. As much as I like this movie it always bothered me how... awful Steele was? YES he is the villain but he would literally rather LET A VILLAGE FULL OF SICK CHILDREN DIE then to work along side a wolf dog? Like he does so much to prevent those dogs from returning with the meds after he falls off that little cliff. Like he may be up there with Frollo as one of the nasties animated villains. Β I dare someone to find a frame of Steele that makes him look like a genuinely nice character. Sorry about the ramble, this is a beautiful piece! Β

Yeah, but so many girls like loud jerksΒ - Dixie and Sylvie for starters in this case. They're superficial and he's a total jerk.Β In my experience this isn't an unrealistic depiction of women's taste in men, in many cases.
I mean women being attracted to loud jerks. Being intelligent doesn't seem to render a lot of females impervious to this tendency, any more than being intelligent renders males immune to whatever physical characteristics turn their crank.Β This was probably more than you wanted to hear.Β

I guess that makes him an effective villain. Unless you mean you just found him unbelievable.
