I haven't tried. I'm almost sure they were never available here, and that they would be outrageously expensive, as I don't think they,ve made them since the late 90's. I might check out if curiosity, though.
   .....ok, there's one on ebay - $200 au including postage from the US. I actually thought it'd be more.

Gotta love eBay for that. It's the world's largest garage sale and a 24 hour one at that. You never know what will show up or what deals you might stumble across. Sometimes I feel it's like the ocean in that regard. Gotta walk along the "beaches of eBay" every day to see what the tide has brought in.

I think if I'm going to get any large Douglas - what's the big GSD called? I can't find any auctions at all for him - it should be soon. Some people are predicting the Australian dollar will crash against the US next year.  Probably BS.

I used to be able to control currency markets by my travel plans. Every time I went to the US, the Aus dollar would crash. Last time I was there it went down to 54c! That was ridiculous: every one of your dollars was worth two of mine. Then a few years ago it was worth $1.15.  It's about 75c now, but every time it drops a bit, it puts quite a bit extra onto big ticket items from the US.

I can be vaguely poetic on occasion. Though generally not if I'm actually trying.

Oh! So do you think you might try to add Major to your collection after all? He's pretty awesome, and I think he would right right in with all your other large dogs really nicely. 

The first time I went to England it was about that bad; two of my dollars were worth one of theirs. As to if the Aus dollar is going to crash against the US's... I can't say I'm all that convinced either. What with Trump in charge over here, it wouldn't surprise me if the American dollar loses some value... Actually, I feel we're at risk of losing a lot with him in charge.
