Description
A Little Tern. Or possibly a Fairy Tern; I'm not certain. I don't see these often. Lighting and gear less than ideal. If I could find three of them together, I could call it 'Tern, Tern, Tern', which of course is a Byrds song.Related content

I thought so, too - but this would make it a fairly lucky find. There are supposed only to be a few hundred left in Tasmania.

Terns are great! There's a species of them that I see up in Maine but their hair-dos aren't as awesome as this guy's!

According to the Finnish wikipedia back in the 1997 one Tern that had been ringed here in Finland was found on Southern Australia.

That's pretty serious migrating. Northern Europe to Australia is the longest airline flight in the world, I think. I wonder if any of them turn up on other planets?

Maybe they meet our dolphins there, at the other planets.
