The princess stepped into the light."On my coronation day, the day after I buried my father, Ganondorf bestowed on me this in place of the queen's crown. He believes it to be a reminder of what is lost - of when I failed. But it is more than that. It is a reminder of what evil can do. It is a reminder of what I will sacrifice to my kingdom. It is a reminder to be stronger, to do better. And when I sit on the throne once more, and Ganondorf is forever banished from this land, it will be a reminder of how far I have come. On that day, there will be no need for a crown. On that day, this will be a reminder that I am queen."
As the boy in green stared into her fierce eyes, the mark on his hand began to sting. He was in no danger, but he remembered the sensation of fear.

Late comment is late, but wow I don't think I've seen Zelda portrayed this way before.
I like it! It's a very interesting take on her and a fiercer side not often seen. That is one piercing stare...and one can only imagine how painful it was to receive that scar.
