Something I drew to explain a theory that I've come up with recently;E lsbridge's intended track layout is in the opposite direction that we imagine.

We always imagine that Knapford is to the left, while Thomas's Branch line and the rest of the mainline are to the right.
But I have the theory that it's actually the opposite way.
In all the times we saw Elsbridge, we've never actually seen the tracks on the right split off.
Furhermore, the left tracks match up, with the three upper ones going in the right direction for the Mainline, and the two lower ones in the right direction for Thomas's Branch. The number of tracks in each direction also match up with this. (This would also explain why trains for Thomas's branch line are so often going in the opposite direction in Season 2.)

What does not match up with this theory is the station's building, admittedly.
