Description
THE PORTAL over Boston had A.N.G.E.L.S.' full attention. The invasion in San Francisco was already tackled by Firebird Tallington and Crimson Valkyrie. However, unnoticed by all of them, another portal would open deep in the Atlantic Ocean. Spurred on by its mistress, a huge shadow floated through, ready to wreck havoc. The seafloor shook just from the giant beast swimming by. Every living thing fled to stay out of its sight. It was curious. It was hungry. And it was filled with primal rage and an appetite for destruction. The creature emitted a snarl that made the ocean rumble. Soon now ... it would find its first victim.

Had the creature's arrival happened unnoticed, it wouldn't remain so for long! As cargo ships sank one by one, soon reports of a sea monster emerged. Even in a world used to superheroes, supervillains and alien invasions, people somehow managed to scoff at those at first. Atlantis was real, men could fly and were bulletproof, but a sea monster? Certainly not! Ironically, it was a livestream going viral, that would serve as the first proper sighting. Some wealthy D-lister, craving attention, filmed himself hunting the "hoax sea monster" and got himself and his entire yacht swallowed whole in the process. A cruise ship was the creature's next target, only surviving because the coast guard interfered. However, this turned into a sacrifice! Not bullets, not harpoons, not even bomb lances could even damage the beast. Angered, it destroyed everything in its wake! When the marines cornered the creature, they wouldn't fair much better. By now it had become painfully obvious ... the world was in dire need of a superhero! Perhaps even a full team!

A leviathan of the seas, who will demand some mighty superhero's attention!
