Description
Drawn with mechanical pencil (HB 0,5 mm), done on 15th October 2008.Finally! ^.^
You could consider this as the "thanks for the 1000 pageviews" drawing; I really put a lot of effort in it, been working on it for a few days now.
YES, I had a reference for the guy!!! Here: [link] , a photo from the very good and creative
The draggie had no reference (sadly, cause I don't really like the shading on her compared to the warrior).
The dragon is a D&D style Red Dragon, by the size of her, one between adolescence (sp?
Critique appreciated as always!!!
((And sorry about the weird little dots here and there... yes, it was the scanner. I tried to erase every sketch remain I could

Marvellous work, BrassDragon! I really enjoy it when people draw D&D (especially Chromatic) dragons, and even more so when they're done well. The Red Dragon is so beautifully done, her proportion and anatomy is so nice, as well as the details of her scales/muscles/jaws/everything. The smoke furling out of her nostril is a nice touch, adds a bit of life to the image. I really like the man as well, he looks rather simple and certainly brave to face a creature like that without shrinking away. Very nice chest also, rawr. :3

Oh wow. Thanks for the comment!
This was one of my first attempts at -really- trying to make a chromatic dragon 3D-ish/detailed. Normally I doodle around with poses but I don't put those silly sketches up here. lol.
I'm very glad you like her, and it's fun to see someone around lovin' 'em D&D dragons
(And yeah, that guy even catches a disdainful-megalomaniac-narcisstic [sp?] dragon's attention. *smirk*)

The scene is really beautiful, friendship with man and the dragon is a thing that everyone dreams to have if that were possible!

We'll see about that friendship still.
(And yes, everyone dreams about something like that

We all had seen the power and darkness of the mighty little dots, so many friends had fallen in their pixeled hands -.-
The dragon is amazing, I even liked the effect of depth on it, only one advise from an obsessed in realism, warriors don't train all their muscles except if they are trained troops and if it is the case then I don't have any suggestion, simply great, also looks like a curious dragon ^^

Thank you so much! I'll think about the warrior's muscles, I didn't really think about that yet. Still, his muscles might also show simply because he doesn't have much fat on him (at all I guess)... Thanks for the tip and the comment!!

*grins* Well, I like it.
He reminds a little bit of Shaw, actually. He kind of has that 'what are YOU looking at, ya overgrown bag of scales...' sort of expression on his face. *laughs*
