Well, how about Kitty telling Marty about how she quit TUFF because her colleagues weren't treating her fairly, and how everyone in her town is a flippin' moron, and how she wishes her 9 lives were different from what it currently is.

Yeah.
Marty could feel sorry for Kitty. And then he could explain that not only was Marty seaching for Biff in the timeline (To recruit the Chameleon) but he was sent ther by Doc Brown to look for Kitty to offer her a leading position in Doc time travel unit to thwart the time tyrant, Dr N tropy.
While Kitty and Marty are dodging the Petropolis citizens (Who are after Marty since they assume he's an alien), Marty grows to like Kitty for her bravery, charm, cunning and reasonable personality.
It's kinda like Sarah Conner and Kyle Reese from The Terminator. Only without the motel sex scene
