Some concept doodles of what could be Ominous' trusty troopers, and recurring enemies for Artie and Co.The armoured and gas mask designs of the model are influenced by the classic stormtroopers from the Star Wars trilogy, The Foot Soldiers from the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, the Radiation Rangers from the Toxic Crusaders and the Sligs from the Oddworld Abe game series.

The gas masks also put me in mind of one of the various groups of soldiers the Emperor Ming had under his command in the 1980 Flash Gordon movie. The ones Dale cartwheels around and guns down when she tries to escape Ming's palace.
