A friend (you know who you are ~_^) and I were discussing how cool it would have been to see all the positive female protagonists of Sly 3 interact. Sadly, the Sly Cooper series is currently in the hands of hacks who couldn't write a decent female character to save their lives, so this will never be a reality. So I scribbled together an idea for an alternate ending for the China level of Sly 3 where the boys get kidnapped by General Tsao and Penelope and Jing King have to seek out Carmelita’s help to get them back. I don’t have time to turn this idea into a full comic (and I don’t have the writing skills to write a fic), so I just scribbled the ideas as they came to me.Don’t get me wrong. I love the story in the actual game. I just think it would have been neat if Carmelita had more involvement with the gang before the big finale on Kane Island. And playing as Carmelita leading Jing and Penelope in a rescue mission would have been hella cool!
Page One:
The idea behind this is that the final Jing King rescue mission got botched right after the Panda King got Jing out of the palace. Tsao noticed her gone before Sly could get Carmelita to take her place. So Tsao sent the dragon after them and the boys were captured while girls narrowly escaped. And Tsao plans to re-acquire Jing King by announcing from the highest rooftop that he’ll kill them if Jing doesn’t return to him within a few hours (since he’s a sexist jerk who believes that two girls wont be able to mount a rescue and that Jing will come running back to him simply because he’s “strong” enough to capture the entire Cooper Gang).
Sadly, since Penelope is still new to the team and woefully unequipped to handle something like this (and Jing is, presumably, not trained to fight or do espionage), the girls seek out Carmelita in the village and ask for her help.

Why must you torment me so with cool ass art??? Whyyy? I just want this to exist in game really badly. Jing, Penelope and Carmelita teaming up would be the most radical thing in ever.

I loved the idea of those ladies acting as a "Girly A-Team" to rescue Team Cooper. However, my other reason for writing this out was because I thought Sly and Carmelita REALLY should have had more interaction before their big dramatic hookup at the end of Sly 3.
I still love the story as it is. But, when you think about it, Sly and Carmelita had virtually no positive interaction in the third game before she came to rescue him on Kaine Island. So Sly's decision to give up EVERYTHING to be with her (and her decision to go along with it) seems just a wee bit forced. And I think the love story would have had a bigger impact if they worked together on something (like helping Penelope) before the events on Kaine Island. Or at least shared ONE moment that didn't involve Carmelita shooting at him. LOL

The third game would have been much improved if it had done a little more with Carmelita before the final level. Upon re-visiting the story, it is a little strange that Sly and Carmelita have so little positive interaction before they took that BIG step at the end.
Also, I wanted more time with Carmelita as a playable character. She was hella fun to play! And I would have liked to see her reaction to Sly recruiting new members to his crew.
