I threw this together on a lunch break. I almost starved because I forgot to actually EAT my lunch (didn't want to get food on the paper); but it was worth it!I like to believe that Carmelita is a huge dork when she's off duty and allows herself to relax with a loved one. And I also like to believe that her off-duty dorkiness kinda blind-sided Sly in the early stages of their relationship (hat tip to sonicsora Β for encouraging this theory).
Also, I mentioned Lieutenant Gronk at the end of the comic because I totally want to do a Sequel to my "Carmelita & Friends" comics (see the originals here , here , here , here , and here ) where her mercenary bros meet Sly. Keep an eye out for it.

This also makes me really happy, I am legit just giggling loudly while re-reading the comic. We can only hope Sly adjusts quickly to the fact Carmelita is a huge nerd. She's the type that makes the same 8 jokes repeatedly (puns not included), uses strands of her own hair as a mustache, has overly cutesy themed undies/slippers/pj's, leaves doofy sticky notes around (at least in my mind anyway!).Β

I love this idea!
Sly moves in with her thinking he's getting a sexy, spicy Latina lover. But then he's shocked to find that she spends 90% of her off-the-clock time lounging in goofy PJs, watching bad telanovelas, and telling those same 8 stupid jokes over and over! XD

It'd be a nice wake up call for Sly since, haha man, I bet he really got a bit too used to the Batman & Catwoman thing they had for years. He possibly had an inkling about her nerdiness, but didn't know the full force until they live together.

I just got an image of Sly opening the cupboard for a coffee mug and being horrified to find that his only option is a gaudy mug that says "Team Carlos" or something.
Also, I'm tempted to do a comic where Carmelita suggests a "sexy movie night" and the movie turns out to be a feature film adaptation of a horrible Mexican soap opera

I... approve of that idea so much. Sly either has to deal with no coffee or just roll with the Team Carlos mug (a very well loved mug by the looks of it).Β
yes, I hope you do that. Sly would be the guy who would ASSUME it's porn/risque and immediately realize NOPE, wrong when Carmelita popped the DVD in. (haha man, I also like the idea of Carmelita being SUPER EXCITED about her shows. Knows all the characters and backstories, idly talks about it at work with co-workers. Sly awkwardly stands in the background completely lost.)
