Description
First concept of Fingolfin for "The Fall of Fingolfin" - a stop-motion shortfilm that tells the story of one of the most desperate and epic fights in the history of Middle-earth - the Fall of Fingolfin, High King of the Noldor. The armour design follows the lines of that of the noldorin soldiers, but heavier and with more engraving.

It's exactly how I imagined Noldorin armor, I mean one of my several visions not the only one.

I like both variants, can't decide which one is better. Sure, color for seeing him more 3-dimensional and to admire his beauty, but b&w is great for details, too. I love all the details you managed to place here, together with the heraldry you described in the comment. The armour design itself is really interesting, too I'm glad you covered his legs with some metal, I always imagine wargs who I believe Morgoth set free to roam his realms weren't nice but biting everything and everyone they could, so leg covers and horse armour are a must. Not sure only about the horse armour itself since the horse has to move and the wargs are in the bottom, not attacking from the top where it's easier to cover. All those fancy horse armour examples in museums seem to cover from the top & sides. Anyway, great armour concept, I hope it'll looks as good at the animation.

I agree with spicedwinefanfic: this is probably my favorite Fingolfin art I've seen.

Absolutely the best artwork of Fingolfin I've ever seen, and as he's one of my favourite characters, I've seen about everything. Well done!
