So some news for Pokemon OmegaRuby & AlphaSapphire came out today! One tidbit is the reveal of Swampert's MEGA EVOLUTION. www.serebii.net/corocoro7141.jā¦HE LOOKS SO BUFFED UP AND BADASS!! I LOVE IT!!
Swampert is one of my favorite starters, if not my MOST favorite starter, as I have fond memories of using it on my very first Pokemon Ruby playthrough when I was a lil' Brian Junior. Nostalgia aside Swampert also just looks super cool and has great typing, good stats, and a great movepool. He's an overall solid pokemon.
However he has fallen from grace during these last few generations, being overshadowed by more pokemon tankier and stronger than it. BUT with this new Mega Evolution, he will definitely become a top-tier pokemon again!
So I felt like doing this pic of him. Fully colored and all. It was a spontaneous thing ^^''
I like how it turned out! Aside from the head looking smaller than it should be orz

Mega Swampert! Dreams do come true! I was hoping its new Ability would be Sap Sipper, but I suppose that would've made it even more OP than Mega Blaziken. Anyway, Swampert is my number one favorite starter as well and I can't wait to try its badass new Mega Evolution out.

I know when I played Emerald, I always took Mudkip in my tradition of usually taking Water starters (except Crystal. Cyndaquil all the way). I feel so happeh right now.

Just wish I could import my OG Swampert Borris from Sapphire, I kinda feel like I'd be cheating on him, but, since that's not possible, I'll just mark it down as "A return and new start in Hoen" in my Pokemon headcanon, just gotta think of a radical Russian name for my new Mudkip...Kalashnikov? Nikita? Zangief?
