The black and white art was scanned into photoshop and I used the line tool to add the rain effect. As the editor had asked that the strip be supplied via email that was okay, otherwise I'd have used white gouache, or scraped the page with a scalpel blade for a more broken up effect.

ahhh. I thought so.
It said traditional media on top. But I know of No good way to get a line so opaque and perfect like that over blacks out side photo shop.
Ive tried it, and there are always tell tale signs and little imperfections.

Wow, nice stuff!

I just remembered I sometimes used to use white tape, back in art school - doesn't look great on the original, but it prints okay.

Ive tried the exacto knife thing and carved into the paper/board, but it still leaves tell tale signs.
