Description
I always liked this character design and wanted to do an animation with her. Β Re-drawing the frames in PS took far longer than I expected, but the coloring process was relatively straight forward and painless.ΒRelated content

Her face looks strange and her outlines are jagged, but it's a nice animation; the bats flying from her tights are a smart idea.

For the face I wanted something that could actually be animated. Not stiff and lifeless. Which means that it would have to be able to be drawn from a variety of angles. I'm not sure what you mean by jagged outlines. It is an HD sprite. It was drawn to fit an hd resolution of 1920 x 1080. Not the resolution of the original game which was 320 x 240.

If you look closely you'll see the outlines are two pixels wide, then one, then again two; for more consistency I would suggest to make them all one pixel wide (you can also make them all two pixels wide).
Also some colours go out of the outlines, or there are some transparent pixels here and there. You had to clean them up, that's what I mean.
About the face, it might be the style you were going for that I find strange, but it's not wrong, in that case I was just expressing my opinion.
I'll edit one frame to show you what I want to say.

Thanks for explaining that. Β I used the pencil tool at 1 pixel for this, so i'm not sure how it became so inconsistent.Β

As I promised here's the frame I edited a bit:

What I also noticed isΒ there were a lot of colours, some of which were difficult to notice because they were very slightly darker.

Thanks for sharing that. Β I actually wanted a lot of colors for this to give it more depth. Rendering a leg for instance. At a low resolution 4 colors can be used. But when the size increases, more colors are necessary for convincing shading.

When you use the pencil that happens, so to make them all one pixel wide you could use the line tool.

So it exists as a Mugen character?

I did not understand your question the first time. This is just an animation I did for fun. I don't intend to do any more work with Morrigan at the moment.
