Description A knight and a demon engage in combat in the mist of some ancient ruins. A bloody roar could be heard from several towns away. The horse and knight hold steadfast focusing on the obstacles in front of them. A vile beast bent on destruction, wielding a sword which could easily lay waste a village in a single swing.

β€œThe real hero is the man who fights
even though he is scared. Some men
get over their fright in a minute under
fire. For some, it takes an hour. For
some, it takes days. But a real man will
never let his fear of death overpower
his honor, his sense of duty to his
country, and his innate manhood.
Battle is the most magnificent
competition in which a human being
can indulge. It brings out all that is
best and it removes all that is base.”

General George S. Patton, Jr.

Hi first of all amazing artwork! Second of all, I'm making a trading card game for kickstarter in which artists can have there own deck of 60 Cards for people to buy the style they like. I would be super excited if you would be interested in making a deck.

If not for your fine art, then blame it on your fine choice of words & an excellent quote. In fact, I believe this entire thing here is to blame for me joining the ranks of your watchers & an instant fan! Bravo

This. Is. Amazing.

Such a terrifying demon makes a strong knight look weak in comparison. I especially like the quote, as it more than suits this situation - it defines it.

What I love is how you took the time to make the ruins look real. Instead of having this battle in a black field or amongst ruins, you actually put effort into making the background more a part of the scene. I can even see the engravings above the stone pillars.

Real good work mate.

I really like this one, but I do agree about the knight. He's just a little fuzzy looking. Great action and composition, I like the colors and the technique used to render it.

I really like this picture because of the background and the amount of action in it. The only thing that bothers me a little is how the knight isnt all that detailed. I know he's small, but it just seems like more could've been done with him. Just an opinion though. I still think its a great picture!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

BrianLukArt In reply to ginsujustice [2007-07-12 00:20:22 +0000 UTC]

I agree a bit more detail on the knight won't have hurt. I was focusing on the silhouette.
