Description
Another spread, in which Ugly is learning what to eat and how to hide. Had to go back and make some edits on this one, but all in all I'm pretty pleased. In general, I'm not very comfortable with dogs, but foxes are pretty fun to research/draw.
Just an FYI, kids, it's okay to feed your horses blackberries SPARINGLY, but the leaves are poisonous. So Ugly's very lucky to have his friend Robin telling him what to eat (lol I add morbidity to my illustrations without ever mentioning them in the story).

Morbidity is a good tool!
Every fairy tale is morbid in its own way and your thoughts on this image were really clever

Thank you! Was a tad difficult placing the forelock around him in a believable way--sometimes I feel like some sort of hair stylist rather than an illustrator.

Ooh, clever! I always love it when artists hide stuff in their work. Really nice details!
