In the events when the ninja go to get the third fang blade in order to prevent the Great Devourer, however change one event, change everything....

What if Lloyd never fell....

Without Lloyd in danger in the volcano, Kai would have still tried to get the fang blade. Kai did manage to get the fang blade, but realized that he was trapped and the volcano was about to erupt, luckily Jay had gone back to get Kai out by using his true potential powers. The Ninja had a fang blade, but Kai was furious that he still wasn't the green ninja, so he left, but was forced to give up his golden weapon.

The Ninja destroyed the fang blade at fire torch mountain, stopping Pythor. However, this allowed Garmadon to raise an army, he convinced the Serpentine if they helped him get the golden weapons, he could not only awaken the Devourer, but control it, and so much more.... This of course took some time, meanwhile, the ninja learned how to use their elemental powers without having to rely on the golden weapons, and found out that Lloyd is the green ninja....

Without the devourer being awakened, the ninja were able to train Lloyd easily, and with Kai gone, Nya was given a choice to become the water ninja, or stay as samurai X, and for the moment, she wanted to stay as samurai X, but she began unlocking her powers. Later the ninja found out that Garmadon was raising an army, and the only one that could stop him was Lloyd, he was given a choice to fast forward his age with a very rare tea, he took it without hesitation and he not only gotten older, but stronger. When the ninja confronted Garmadon, he was surprised to see his son as the green ninja, and was older, after defeating Garmadon, the Serpentine disbanded and peace was restored....

Without the devourer's venom to awaken the stone army, and with Garmadon imprisoned, the countdown to the final battle never started, and without the destruction of the Overlord, Ninjago City never became New Ninjago City, however, some things still would have happened, just a little bit different....

Cyrus Borg would have been an inventor, making borg-pads, computers, and Pixal, which later, Zane and Pixal fell in love with each other.
Master Chen would have his tournament of elements, but without the death of Zane, nothing held the ninja back from stopping him, they even made new allies with the other elemental masters.

Acronix would have returned, and Krux's revenge....

Meanwhile with Kai, ever since he left, he made his own green ninja outfit, learned how to use his elemental power without the sword of fire, and when the hands of time were defeated and Wu lost to time, he then made his move.... He killed Lord Garmadon is his cell, stole the scroll of forbidden spinjitzu, Airjitzu, the sword of sanctuary, the realm crystal, allied armor, and so many more powerful objects....

Kai became the villain, all because of his desire of being the chosen one, he then went to confront Lloyd so he could take his powers, then kill him.... But he failed when he was defeated by the others.
