Stamp request for She wanted a stamp saying "Mario is NOT a hero!"
Here are some of the reasons why Mario is not the hero that most fans think he is:
1. Mario was Donkey Kong's Master and tortured/humiliated him.
2. He kidnapped Donkey Kong's son and tried to harm the baby monkey when he tried to rescue his dad.
3. Ruining the innocent caterpillars' home (with daisies on top of their heads) not once but twice.
4. Mario punches Yoshi when riding them to extend their tongue.
5. Mistreating his brother, Luigi, who adores Mario.

And before you jump to any conclusions, I have to say this:
For the record I have NOT played any of the Super Mario games - apart from one game that I played on the Gameboy when I was 5 or 6. So I have very little knowledge of the Mario games.
Also, this is not my opinion of Mario. To be honest I don't personally label him as a hero or anti hero. I have no opinion of Mario, so I am in the middle as you say
If you like Mario, that's fine. If you don't like Mario, then that's fine too. I really don't mind.

He doesn't punch Yoshi, he's pointing. However, he IS a mass Toad murderer in the first game. Every brick block, mushroom, and coin in that game is a Toad, transformed by Bowser's magic. He saves 8 people, but murders thousands in the process.

The manual for the first game strait-up confirms what I said. He only saves 8 people but kills thousands of innocents. Plus he's a jerk to Luigi, and is implied in the. Mario vs. Donkey Kong games to be cheating on Peach.

Ugh, game theory. Can't stand his videos sometimes. I started getting skeptical when I saw his videos about StarFox maneuvers, where he tried using physics based around Earth's gravity... you know... to relate to the game that takes place entirely in space. 8D
I much prefer Legend of Zelda nowadays, to be honest. Don't take what I'm about to say too seriously, since it is just a game. 
Yeah, Mario was kind of a jerk during the Donkey Kong days, but the caterpillars are the aggressors. At least in SMW, they bite first even if they have those flowers on their heads. It's clearly a way to capture prey by utilizing the flower so they appear benign. Yoshi isn't mistreated, either, since he's always smiling and always wants to help Mario. If Mario really were punching Yoshi in the back of the head, Yoshi wouldn't have bothered to offer any aid. Mario has shown himself as a selfless hero to the Yoshi people time and time again. And as for Luigi, if Luigi would bother to take a step out of Mario's shadow once in a while, maybe he wouldn't be ignored so often.

I think maybe Game Theory just looks into things a bit more than he shouldn't XD

yea. I don't agree with everything they said in the video about Mario, like with the caterpillars, idk in the other games but in Sunshine one actually threaten the survival of the Sand bird, so Mario has to get rid of it otherwise the bird would die.. and then it starts rampaging through the area, threatening the safety of the habitants there, so he has to kill it (again)
but there's still plenty of bad stuff left about him even without those things :0
I like Luigi becauuuuuse... idk I guess because he's always been the underdog and all ^^ which has always been weird imo coz he's just as good as Mario (when it comes to skills), but he's always being ignored.. and he actually has fear, so that also makes him more relatable - he wants to do great things but is too much of a chicken to actually do it. so then when he actually does end up being the hero, it seems like much more of a triumph, coz not only did he have to show great skill, he also had to overcome his fears ^^

You do have a fair point there. I'm very neutral when it comes to Mario only because I didn't grow up playing the Mario games.

I remember playing a Super Mario game for the Gameboy when I was 5 or 6. I didn't really get into the Super Mario franchise as I used to play Donkey Kong quite a lot.
