I took this a few years back. No editing whatsoever (:

This is our old barn. It was a controlled burn - the barn was getting really old and was falling apart... I miss it though, so many memories.

Childhood memories are good, but it hurts at the same time. We had a very old shed that we tore down, and though I had never seen the inside of it, I wonder what lived in there. I used to think it was cats, but there were not any. Old barns make great hiding places when playing hide and seek. The blaze is stunning, though, it looks like the fire spirit.

That's how we got rid of our old barn too, it refused to fall down by itself so we burned it down.

Ours was also an eyesore, all grey wood, I tore off the wood. It was treated so well, when it snapped, it sent me flying off my feet. It had no windows, the roof was falling in, but surprisingly everything else was still standing. They had to pull it down by a truck or tractor then set it on fire in the cellar hole.
