Awesome How did you get this effect? Did you add anything to the water?

My setup looks like this [link] ...sometimes it's cleaner but not often... and I move things around all the time

Awesome, do you think there's a way to do this on a budget and get the same result?

I've seen it done a lot, but I've never attempted it, and It's something I'd love to experiment with

I have all the equipment you have there, accept for the stand to clench on to the water container..

I only have reverse macro 70-300 attached with 50, if that is good enough? or is it too close..

sorry for all the questions, you do not need to answer them if you don't have the time!

Thank you though

You could get a similar result with less. Dripping the drops by hand is possible but it takes a lot more tries to get a good result.

I'd recommend looking at this tutorial: [link]

When it come to the lens I'd just go with the 70-300. I use my 70-200 for most shots, some with macro-rings but mostly without.

In this photo I mixed some guar gum and rinse aid to get the shape.

Good luck and just ask if you need more help

I've use some old darkroom equipment. Something that looked almost like this [link]
Having the elevation control is great.

Then I combined it with a StopShot Water Drop Photography Kit [link]

It's not that hard

It's not only water. I mixed some guar gum and rinse aid in it.
