I think itΒ΄s pretty creative, not unoriginal. I have seen pictures of glasses, but I havenΒ΄t seen many with cool background like in this! Very good job.

The background and the glass is taken in one shot. There's some cropping but not much and just about no other editing.
Now to the how. The background is a my computer screen and the glass is on a rather cheap mirror. It's rather easy

M first thought was, 'but I'm sure I've taken a picture of my computer screen and it doesn't come out like that!' Then I realised that you probably chaged the background..... hahahaha! I'm such a genius...

You can get a somewhat similar effect by using a computer screen and a circular polarizing filter. But that's rather much more sciency and it's called Birefringence. This is what it looks like: [link]
