Description
The only thing youever gave me, besides the
figurative noose
your deft fingers slid around
my neck, was a broken heart.

Cool! It's like another version of the haiku! Or shall I say, the haiku is another version of the tanka, because the tanka came first, ahah. XD
You're a pro with short pieces, honestly.

Haha! I know. It's quite fun to write, too, because you get a bit more than the haiku!
Thank you so much wheezes

Yeah, I always find myself hanging off with more to say after I try to write a haiku...haha! Thanks for sharing again, and no problem!

i'm not sure if you know this, but in japan it was tradition for lovers to exchange tankas instead of written prose love letters. bearing this in mind, this poem has a dark and heartbreaking feel.

No! I didn't know that. That makes me giddy, actually, I love little facts.
That's also really cute oh my goodness.
But, thank you! That was my intent, and I'm glad it came across alright. (:

Thank you kindly, doll. x
And yes! Give it a shot. It's not as difficult as I thought it might have been, and I think it's quite fun to write a fixed form every once in a while. (:
