This is beautiful, winter is one of my favourite subjects to write about. (And trees too, though none of my tree pieces are posted here.) I do agree with the other comments, I prefer it without the "would". There seems to be more depth behind it that way, it allows a little more flexibility to the reader's comprehension. (Just my opinion, it works well either way.)

because to me, it makes sense that.
I DONT KNOW I FEEL LIKE IT'D MAKE SENSE THIS WAY IDK it was off for me,
but now it feels off now idk idk idk

This...Well, I always say I like things I comment on; but this I love. It's a beautiful sort of anthropomorphism, one that is relatable even too us non-entfolk.
