Description
i knew it was bad wheni dreamed of my monsters
chewing me up
from the inside out
tongues licking over my ribcage
teeth prying at my heart,
and-βonly woke
up sad, thinking of
you.

the fact that the speaker pays no attention to that intense nightmare, as if they're used to it, only thinking of the other person when they wake up...that's haunting.
that silent thing makes this poem more horrifying than that amazing imagery does.

it is haunting.
it really is.
I'm glad you understood that, though. I was worried I didn't get across well enough that there was a nightmare, but it didn't really even matter. I'm so, so glad it came across!
That silent thing? O:

Gosh.
Just re-read it.
Heck yeah, it is.
I can't even believe that you worry about that though, haha. It always more than comes across, whatever you want to say, because your poems are so penetrating.
Yeah. I think I meant the nightmare. It came across as silent agony. Not one of those nightmares you wake up screaming your head off. But more like it quietly tore them apart and reminded them how the person maybe had the same effect..
