Can't really see Pipsqueak as being an orphan, if only because in Luna Eclipsed he says he moved to Ponyville from Trottingham. Orphanages don't normally send children around, so I would expect he moved there with his parents.
That said, aw, Trixie is being selfless. The REAL surprise though is Angel Bunny being selfless, though given there's a Fluttershy poster there, I guess Fluts gave him a talking to about being evil.

This picture is what I love the most so far.
This heartwarming scenery..... Trixie coming to the hospital at Hearths Warming Eve, giving all the foals there, including Scootaloo, a magic show to cheer them up and to make it a wonderful Hearths Warming Eve for them, while they have to stay there over the holidays, instead of being at home with their families and friends. It's touching.
And Scootaloo and this other filly on the bed there..... They are clearly friends, this shows well.
This picture even inspired me to a fic now and I'm going to write that for Hearths Warming Eve, if I find the time before it.
