-Most of the complaints are true, it can be seen as an invasion of privacy.
-She was a villain for awhile, but this still is a kids show (finding success among adults notwithstanding).

+She can't control all dreams and solve them all at once.
+She knows to stay away from certain dreams that are more x-rated, unless they are related to some trauma.
+Remorseful
*Maybe should ask permission/get requests from the afflicted/relatives of the afflicted before getting in their dreams.
Cadence
-Emotion magic seems extremely terrifying when putting deep thought into it, but Celestia wouldn't have given her power if she thought abuse would follow.
+Princess of Love doesn't equal Princess of Sexuality. Love is love, but she can't make someone gay, bi, straight, ace, or any other sexuality.
+Also not Princess of Sex, focus on relationships rather than "getting it on."
+Still one pony, can't really help everyone. Plus, some people may never want relationships.
+Flurry is still a child, she just happens to have all three pony races to factor in. Pinkie had to babysit the Cake twins and Flurry is essentially both.
+Pedophiles don't count. Ever. They're obsessed, there is no love involved.
*She, at least in my eyes, is a relationship person. The fandom likes including sex because of clopfics.
Celestia
-Obviously hers is a joke, though skin cancer just happens really. Sun exposure is just a factor.
+You can't survive without the sun, so even if she was a tyrant, we're stuck with her.
*Screwed either way.
Twilight
-Going on the joke in the description, yeah, she can't really do anything about that. Sad, but is most likely true in a more realistic universe.
+She can find a way, though. She's as much a scientist as a magician.

Again, I know it was a joke. Though the jokes originate from people always trying to find something wrong with character who don't try to fix it/look into it more somehow.

This is why Luna is best princess. By the end I could feel Celestia start to agree. Celestia has a good argument for her rule. Luna could use her ability to control dreams against those that oppose her. Cadence can literally make you love her. I do not see how they can be replaced or lose an election.

i think that one episode for were they wrote a book about friendship and such and all of ponyvile believe the main are just playing parts and not them selfs or such like if remembering right. so i could see them being stupid like that XD i mean you have one who can turn you and such to ash... one who can give nightmares and tramatise you in the night so bad you die or never get out of bed. and one that could even be considered a sucubus of sorts with her love power ruining your life in ways like makeing you hate a loved one to some other darker stuff XD. and for friendship..eh already covered could say to. A relatively benevolent dictator or despot would be great if they were competent and not corrupt with power.
And by the Immortal logic, that should make the government of Equestria a Geronticracy, except that the cosmic sisters haven't exactly shown to be the intellectual ubermench that they should be, with all of their experience in governing over the centuries. They should be a lot smarter than everyone else from that sheer volume of experience, (thus obviously applied mostly to Celestia since Luna had her banisment) and be able to handle the inside and outside of government much better.
But they don't.

It seems to me that Sisters delayed the major crisis if possible (like when tyrant Sombra took over Empire or Discord happened) and since unification of pony tribes, Equestria remained stable and orderly.
But in time, when things started to fall down on them or onto Celestia, respectively (Nightmare corruption and appearance of more evil than ever before), something new to support pony realm was need.
Hence new THREE princesses and Justice League of Equestria (aka Ponyville/Mane 6 xD

I do believe that there should be other contingency plans for if both the Tetrarchy and the Elements team are compromised, such as during the S6 finale Changeling takeover crisis. Even though Starlight's ad-hoc squad were present but there is no guarantee that such a group will step up again.Β
In addition, I think with the current state of affairs in S8, Equestria should seriously consider making more solid alliances with the other species, considering when the Storm Faction attacked, there was no response from the Crystal Empire even though their sovereign was captured, and the Hippogriffs didn't want to send official assistance.

Considering that Crystal Empire is ruled by Princess of Love, they're probably even more pacifist than other ponies and possibly have just token number of mercenary Guards protecting palace, like Pope's Swiss Guards (Flash Sentry is certainly not Crystal Pony).
Crystal Heart is still deterrent from any invasion of evil powers no matter what happens to Cadance.
So they were immediately helpless to save their sovereign, but still able to defend themselves.
They could be serious threat only through Sombra, who, it seems, could brainwash and conscript entire population into his dark legion.

The key issue here is lack of fallback for when the system fails hard.
In Democracy when the current elected official starts fucking up, you can at least have hope that a new one will replace at the end of his term.
Eternal Monarchy risks stuff like Sombra's horseshoe on your face... forever.

But you would support God-Emperor (even if he's in coma and decay) in WH40k: because there are literally none alternatives - absolute theocratical monarchy or absolute madness and corruption of Chaos.
Equestria is basically in same situation. Without Princesses, pony realm will fall to some immense supernatural evil.
It's therefore much about survival as well.
And remember alternative future where Celestia leads pony armies into battle with Sombra's legions of doom - on their territory, before they invade Equestria.Β
Pony Republic would only debate and debate, before it woud be too late.
