Description

Hi crafters of the world, and papercrafters out of this world!

This is my entry for Be A Guiding Light: Tutorial Contest! on

One of the most frequently asked questions we've had is how to transform papercraft models into something like Collectibles Figures or action figures. I must say this is an extensive procedure compared to only build papercraft models, but the results can exceed expectations

In this tutorial you'll learn some of the basic procedures we use to achieve these results .
THIS IS NOT A "RECIPE" OR A PROCESS "SET IN STONE" , materials may vary depending on what you have on hand or what best suits your preferences... or budget  . The idea is that this process can be cheap and readily available materials .

As always, questions and comments are welcome, if you liked this tutorial don't forget to add it to your favorites , share and recommend in your social networks

You can also make a donation as a thank you  ... I promise not to spend it on candies but on paper  . This will help me to make other tutorials and organize some contests .

Let's fill the world with Paperfigures!

Yeah! To tell the truth is a little more condensed version I had in my favorite papercraft forum. But now it's no longer online , so I had to redo the whole tutorial .
Thanks for your support!

Wow! Good thing skills won't get lost that easily!

Although looks like that tutorial is probably not for beginners, more for experts who want to go beyond "master rank".
I think that's why other tutorials exist!

Hey...

I just realised this. But your tutorial actually fits the entry criteria for this contest: Be A Guiding Light: Tutorial Contest!
I know you said it's mostly done for the fans, but it doesn't hurt to try to give this a shot. You never know, right?

Really? If you think I have a chance, well, we must try!
Thanks for the shout out!

Sure, of course I think you have a chance. That's why I pointed you towards this way.
Heck, I think you stand a better chance than I do!

... I am trying to work on a colour-based tutorial. It's taking longer than expected. But in all, I'd say you still stand a better chance than I do!

BRSpidey In reply to SinistrosePhosphate [2016-08-21 23:43:23 +0000 UTC]

I think you have plenty of opportunity, I like the articles you write and it always encouraged to try something new .
Do you remember how I made my first papercut?

Do not give up! I know you can complete it on time

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SinistrosePhosphate In reply to BRSpidey [2016-08-22 02:56:20 +0000 UTC]

Oh, absolutely!
You and I... we "enabled" each other when it comes to paper.

I am working on an article on colouring scheme. So this time it's not geared towards just one craft. I wrote a paper-cutting tutorial years ago and to be honest with you, I don't know what else to say about the craft that I haven't said before. But maybe one day I will think of something else. In the meantime... yes... I'm churning through the colours of the rainbow!

... that, and I am on call over the weekend. It's been sort of busy...

BRSpidey In reply to SinistrosePhosphate [2016-08-23 01:30:41 +0000 UTC]

Oh know about colors is always helpful! (Well as long as they don't have any problem of color blindness )
I hope you can complete it on time

SinistrosePhosphate In reply to BRSpidey [2016-08-23 01:49:43 +0000 UTC]

I'm working on it! I have...
... about a week left? Maybe?

It's like having two jobs, sometimes. I work during the day (and sometimes on-call) And here I am trying to churn things out as well!

BRSpidey In reply to dulcelilith [2016-08-15 19:08:43 +0000 UTC]

Hahaha Gracias!

BRSpidey In reply to DARKNICA34 [2016-08-15 19:27:29 +0000 UTC]

*Fiuuuf...* Menos mál!
Pues a decir verdad las que parecen nendriod son más faciles y rápidas de hacer, porque no son tan detalladas, solo es un poco más de cuidado por la preparación de los puntos de movimiento pero en general no es tan dificil

Thank you so very much for putting together this tutorial!
It's a beautiful step-by-step look into something that's both labour-intensive but also breath-stoppingly beautiful. I'm definitely a fan!

And yes, I am more than happy to give you a donation. Anything to further the cause!

I'm really grateful that you liked , I spent a lot of time fixing all this "hocus-pocus" thing. Although I already had prepared all the photos was much editing work

I am deeply grateful for your support my friend!
