Well, I've tried this a couple of times before without decent results... I figured Yoshi-Lord's contest would be a great excuse for giving it another shot.

So here it is: Human and HTF, Fresko edition. He's easily one of the most famous fan-made HTFs out there (partially thanks to a fan-fiction practically everyone knows), which makes this drawing sort of risky. Don't hurl those tomatoes at me just yet; please read the explanation below. As usual, this is just how I myself look at the character.

Fresko the cat, or as he prefers to say, the Feline Freshman, is a laid-back, cool guy who happens to be in college (hence the background, which is supposed to represent a school hallway, lockers included). Confident and with quite a sense of honour, he's willing to take on any challenge to live up to his name. This is reflected in the confident way in which he leans against the lockers. For someone aware of his own status, high-fiving yourself must be the ultimate experience, which is exactly what I made them (him?) do here. Last but not least, Fresko is most likely a fan of the colour blue given his fur hue; for human Fresko, I translated this into blue clothing (note some of the little details, such as the stars on human Fresko's sneakers matching the tip of HTF Fresko's tail), blue eyes and painted streaks in his hair. Come on, an entirely blue haircut would be too much!

Fresko looks slightly older than the other human-characters in this series, but that's because I've always considered him to be a teenager, unlike Shelly or Bruno.

I hope this attempt was more or less successful, and I hope you like most of the general style choices. Feel free to comment; should you decide to fav, then please drop a message first. If you spot any serious errors aside from the ugly hands, please report them and I'll see if I can do something about it.

Also, how's the brightness for you guys? My screen always deceives me and I don't want the piece to look chemical behind my back.
