Yes, another one of those edge-less digital drawings coming from me. I was going to say 'time for something different', but I guess that doesn't make much sense. This is a style I'm just comfortable with, like it or not. Anyway, down to business:

Here's 's well-known HTF fan character Shelly, in two forms: human child and Tree Friend. I'm sure everyone has their own image of what a fan character (self-made or not) would look like in real life, so let me stress that the human form is just MY interpretation of the character and nothing else. Sorry to Damien if he feels this is wrong in whatever way; in that case, please let me know, and we'll solve it.

If I recall correctly from an old bio her creator wrote, Shelly was born in Texas but has distant Latin American roots, which should explain the hair/skin tones and sunny background colours. Personally, I always imagined her to be the type of girl not afraid of playing with bugs in the mud (this is reflected in the untied shoelaces and dress type), eager to get out of town every once in a while to smell the dirt (hence the distant city skyline). She's a great example of a tomboy, but not without her fair share of feminine hints. Other features weren't hard to choose-- I hope the comparison is a bit clear.

After rounds of proportion tweaking to make human Shelly look more like a little (American) girl, I decided to just go ahead and upload it; I've been hesitating for two days now for vague reasons... but the longer I wait, the worse it gets, so let's get this over with.

Also, I realize the idea of drawing fan characters as humans (usually ending up in an anime style) isn't exactly brand-new, but I still felt like giving this a shot. Bruno might be up next, or maybe someone else, but no promises as usual.
