I love ferngully...yes...ferngully, don't look at me that way!!
I especially like the bit at the end where Crysta comes out of the flower and things grow just b/c she floats by. I thought "wow...that would make for some real fun later"

I know, huuuge freakin' oekaki, but I love them, I really do. Zack was cool but he had to leaves. *waves bye bye*
ps. the sequel was as bad as you can expect a sequel to be, but it did have some nice pip/crysta. you should watch it just for that. seriously, two parts in the begining and then TURN IT OFF.

I agree about the Fern Gully sequel not being anything like the uniqueness and scariness of the original. It was really different in bad ways.

uh I think it's the great rescue. Β you can find it on youtube and it's pretty bad but it's got some nice PIps/Crysta moments in the beginning. Β Once they leave the forest you can basically stop watchingΒ

This is awesome! I adore this couple so much. I agree with you so much, even as a little kid I didn't like Zack much. The second movie was so bad, I was so dissappointed since I loved the first one. Gotta love the 'Sun off, Sun on' part though.

Very sweet (though my mind wanders, with that title)! Just did a search for this, and found it in the lineup. So darling, so had to comment.
I loved this couple as a kid, after I saw the movie. The movie's flawed, of course (the children's book is slightly better), but there was just something about the interaction between Crysta and Pips that I adored, even as a prepubescent.
Nice job with the anatomy, here. I like how they are both very fairy-like.

I always felt Crysta and Zack were rather forced, too. They could have been (were, I guess) good friends, but the tension between Crysta and Pips was so much more interesting.

we never really find out what their deal is. they kinda have a...."tension" or a teasing thing going on before the "main character dude" gets there and Pips stays jealous the whole movie so...I'd assume so.

So cute. I watched this in third grade, and then at my friends house later that year. xD I spent this year driving all of my friends crazy by asking them if they remembered what this movie was called. Each day they'd be like, "NO!"

I know I liked it as a kid, but for some reason when we're kids our little brains can't process quality yet. : )
my advice is to watch the first....half hour? when the "plot" starts to show up you can pretty much end your suffering or just skip to the end
