Following on from my look at TNG set shortly after The Undiscovered Country onboard the Enterprise-B, here is the look of the crew of the Deep Space Station K-9 from 2299. I opted for a more functional uniform design, similar to how the DS9 uniforms were the same to TNG.

Following the destruction of Praxis and assassination of Chancellor Gorkon, the Klingon Empire has been in disarray with many areas being given to regional Governors to oversee. This led to a great deal of infighting, corruption, revolts and brutality, as these new powerhouses did all they could to hold on to the new dominance they now had. In an outlying sector, the growing Bajoran Resistance seized their opportunity and began a full on rebellion against their Klingon overlords, even the extreme tactics employed by Governor Du'Kaht didn't stop them. After several years of fighting, the Klingon High Council ordered Du'Kaht and his forces to withdraw, rather than waste resources desperately needed on Qo'noS. Once freed, the new Bajoran Provisional Government asked for aid from the Federation in order to provide their newly liberated sector with some stability. The Federation agreed and Starfleet relocated Deep Space Station K-9 to the Bajor System.

I may tweak and slip a weapons officer or wing commander in, to help bolster their defences, though not sure just quite who that would be.
