I think you've hit the nail on the head. I know for a fact that I couldn't draw anything worthwhile for this fandom, but with digital art, I stood a chance. I think many see it that way, and PIRL to me art is more or less a "beginner" step into the world of digital art.

I really like your images so much, Bryal. So the ponies are really this small in comparison to humans? Makes sense if even Celestia is called a pony when she's so tall. An equine has to be less than 5 hands tall at the shoulder to be a pony. So if celestia is less than 5 hands tall, then I guess this image makes sense. I'd love to see these fillies in our state library... hey! What's Trixie doing here? Someone get her out before she ruins the silence.

Sorry, correction! It's 15 hands, not 5. Any horse less than 15 hands high at the shoulder is a pony.

To be honest, I really don't follow any guidelines on scale with my pictures. I scale the ponies based on my own preferences. I really do prefer them at that scale. The HNNNNNGGGG factor is just awesome when they're that size.

All of teh poneiz are too small for real-life scale! Make them 3/8 bigger, then maybe!

Yeah, I could do that, but I still see them as that big in real-life situations. Pretty much the size of most large-ish dogs.
