Description
I usually don't have trouble with animals, but on this occasion, I was surprised by how challenging bears are to draw. Their bodies are easy but their faces are incredibly tricky. If you are even a little bit off with the shape of the snout or the size of the eyes, they come out looking too much like dogs, tigers, or wolves. Anyway, this piece was a commission, for a guy who buys a lot of my original art. He asked me to do a "scary version" of "Goldilocks and the Three Bears". It was a lot of fun to do!Related content

Thanks for the compliment, but I probably won't color it. Maybe someday but - don't ask me why - for now I just sort of feel done with this one. I'd rather move on and do something new.

I think anyone who has read that fairytale has been waiting for an ending like this This is great!

Thanks, CaffeinatedFrog! I'm glad I could provide this ending for you. I agree with you, too. I had so much fun with this piece. It makes me want to draw a whole comic book of my warped versions of Fairy Tales, in which the stories go MY way! (Insert demented laugh).

Oh man that's good...nice job. I like the way you set up the bears to create movement and force the focal point at the same time.

Yeah, their all kind of pointing toward the girl, either with noses or paws. I like using objects in the frame to direct the viewer's eye.

Oooh wow, you did a great job with that. Nice shading and VERY well drawn folds in the clothes/bedsheets.
Awesome work ^_^

Thanks. Yeah, any kind of drapery takes a while to figure out. Drawing it with a brush instead of a regular pen is a big help, though.
