Nicely done. That creepy guy in the background reminds me of the villain in the 2nd Kolchak movie "The Night Strangler". His heavy breathing and rotting face gave me nightmares, when I was 9 years old in early 1973.

Good catch!! Yes it does look like him, doesn't it. But honestly I wasn't thinking of it when I drew it... unless it was subliminal! I was born in 1972 so you got a few years on me, but I definitely saw and remember Kolchak.

If you like that, you should check out my Wulf and Batsy graphic novels... especially "Volume 1" and "Volume 2: Lustmord Nightmares" (if you haven't already). Thank you so much! Yes I was very happy with how the coloring turned out on this one. Probably my best job coloring a female character in years. At least in terms of getting all the different textures (hair, skin, nightgown) looking very soft and delicate. I often try this but rarely succeed. This one turned out okay, I think. So it pleases me very much to hear other people seem to agree.

Fabulous work (as usual)! My first thought when I laid eyes on the creature was "Baron Blood" with Joseph Cotton as the Baron. The damsel may not be Elke Sommer, but she is just as gorgeous, and I love the see-through gown!

Thank you! And... Ah yes, Baron Blood. I love that movie, too. Just haven't watched it in a while and neglected to mention it. But yes, that would qualify as another of those inspirations that was swirling in the back of my mind as I drew this. Basically I was just in the mood to draw that kind of villain who you saw in so many of those great, creepy old films... big hat, big coat, ugly face, big knife.
