Etch a Sketch, acrylic, marker. Got the idea to paint the Etch a Sketches and put a bit of color on the glass. I thought a Wizard of Oz tribute would be an appropriate first etch to usher in a new change to color.Please follow my art on facebook! facebook.com/bryansketch

Thanks so much, I was really excited about the color idea (I still am - definitely running with it). I'm going to do more Wizard of Oz sketches at some point, I love the Wicked Witch and really want to do a tribute to her.
The drawing here is based on the 2-disk DVD set that came out about 10 years ago, with the yellow cardboard sleeve. The 3 Disk set was green and featured the Witch I think. I'm a geek.

Of course! Can't wait to finish, I've been painting etch a sketches for nearly a week, drilling holes in them today for preservation and will hopefully begin the actual sketching process tonight. After that I'm going to begin stages 2 and 3 of the project, which will be done in Lite Brite and candy art mosaic. It should take me a year but I'm going to try to do it all in a week or two. Waking up early going to bed late, biggest project I ever started. I should get back to work... Thanks
